Nissaki Corfu is situated on the North East Coast of Corfu, about
25 km from Corfu town.
Lying under the Mountain of Pantocrator (the only mountain in
Corfu) is one of the most non commercialized parts of the Corfiot
Island, as its location has discouraged most plans for the mass
development of touristic accommodations and big hotel buildings.
That has help Nissaki to remain a place “infested” with olive
trees and natural beauty, while providing all the facilities and
amenities that a tourist would expect on his / her visit.
The name Nissaki (or Nisaki) means "little island" and, as the
older people say, was the name of the small island that was joined
with the mainland by the many years of the rabble pilling up from
the an old nearby query. That original island is now joined to the
land and occupied by a taverna.
The main road runs through Nissaki Corfu. Most of the Nissaki
accommodation is found under and over this road and away from the
noise of the day traffic.
